Under the pretext of ongoing spell of blockade enforced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat-e-Islami led combine a spree of violence unleashed a grisly spell of street violence including as many as 376 arson and 310 vandalism incidents between 29 October and 19. Besides, at least six police officers were killed in the line of duty during the 29 October to 22 November period. According to media estimates, a total of 275 vehicles, 24 establishments and 11 others were vandalised, and 290 vehicles, 17 establishments and 69 others were set on fire during the political programmes.

One of Bangladesh's flagship resolutions at the United Nations, “Natural Plant Fibers and Sustainable Development”, was unanimously adopted. It recognizes the strong support of the international community for Bangladesh's unwavering commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development through the judicious and sustainable use of natural fibers such as jute, cotton and sisal, the Bangladesh mission in the UN New York said. Bangladesh first presented this resolution at the 74th United Nations General Assembly in 2019 and since then this resolution has been adopted bi-annually at the United Nations.
HPM Sheikh Hasina on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed Ghorashal-Palash Urea Fertiliser Factory (GPUFF) in Narsingdi, the largest of its kind in the Southeast Asia, which is expected to help slash fertiliser imports significantly. She opened the environment friendly energy saving and modern technology based factory with production capacity of 9.24 lakh MT of fertilizer annually by unveiling the inaugural plaque at a civic rally on the GPUFF premises in Palash Upazila. State-of-the-art technology are installed to run the factory smoothly while skilled manpower have already been prepared through proper training by foreign experts since the project's inception.
HPM Sheikh Hasina inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 10,041 structures and houses under 157 development projects including Sheikh Hasina Sarani (Purbachal Expressway) and the first elevated expressway in Chattogram. Of the projects, 4,644 were various development infrastructures and 5,397 houses for the landless and homeless people under the Ashrayan-2 project across the country involving Tk97,471 crores under 24 ministries and divisions. Among the schemes, 15 projects including the Purbachal Expressway, which was recently renamed Sheikh Hasina Swarani, were completed under the housing and public works ministry while different agencies of the shipping ministries are implementing 15 projects.
Outraged at the call by fugitive acting chief Tarique Rahman to oust the government without facing polls, senior leaders and bigwigs are abandoning Tarique led loyalists as they have joined the battle of ballots. Already two key parties who earlier joined Tarique led faction of Bangladesh Nationalist Party have parted their ways and decided to take part in election. This resignation spree has further isolated the outfit while public rejection to ongoing spell of blockade as announced by Tarique clearly put that faction in a spot.
